Why Speech Therapy for your child?. Understanding that speech therapy can help improve your child’s communication. Some of the goals our speech therapist like to achieve with the childrens who come to her. Improving coordination of speech muscles through strengthening and coordination exercises, sound repetition and imitation and more. Improving communication between the brain and the body through visual and auditory aids such as mirrors and tape recorders. Improving fluency through breathing exercises. Enhancing the learning of language through language stimulation and the use of language through positive reinforcement. Improving communication by helping a child learn alternate forms of communication which can serve to enhance speech development, not impair it. At the Play Project our speech therapist offer One on One private speech therapy tailored to meet the specific needs of your child. We  provide therapy to children with mild speech/language delays or for those who may be at risk for a speech/language disorder. We believe early intervention is critical to the development of strong communication skills and educational success. Speech therapy can act as a supplement to our early intervention program. Continuity of treatment and consultation with our professional therapists is highly encouraged. Early intervention program is available, 5 days a week from 9 am to 1 pm.
